About this Destination
The Pantabangan-Carranglan Watershed Forest Reserve spans approximately 105,000 hectares of protected land surrounding the reservoir. Established in 1992, it is one of Central Luzon's last remaining significant forest areas.
The watershed is a biodiversity corridor home to Philippine deer, eagles, monitor lizards, and numerous endemic bird species. Community-based forest management programs and eco-tourism initiatives offer visitors guided nature walks, bird-watching excursions, and overnight camping in designated eco-zones.
